About Deke


A 6th-generation Texan with 30 years of public service.

My name is Deke Pierce. I have devoted my adult life to public service because I believe that everyone should be treated equally and that we all should feel safe in our communities.

I am a veteran of the United States Air Force, the Travis County Sheriff’s Office, and I currently serve the Williamson County Precinct 1 Constable's Office. I have been a Texas Peace Officer since 1992.

My wife Ann and I have been married for 20 years. I am a dependable, hardworking, and conscientious father of three and a grandfather of two who enjoys motorcycling and spending time with family and friends.

Deke's Pledge


A county constable in Texas has the following duties:

  • Serves as a licensed peace officer and performs various law enforcement functions, including issuing traffic citations

  • Serves warrants (statewide jurisdiction) and civil papers (contiguous jurisdiction) such as subpoenas, temporary restraining orders, evictions, and citations to include a few


I will do everything within my power to see that the office is run with honor and serves the community it represents. We will treat all visitors, defendants, and staff with the respect they deserve. 

As your constable, I pledge to:

  • serve honorably as the law enforcement arm of the court

  • do everything in my power to make communities safe

  • serve the people with the dignity and respect they deserve

  • meet with and listen to residents about their needs and concerns

  • work with community leaders to gain insight

  • work collaboratively with all other law enforcement agencies

  • work on pay parity for all deputy constables and civilian staff
